Military Heroes Programs

Overview

The Knights of Columbus  started working with the military and veterans in 1916 .  From the very beginning, our support exemplifies our commitment to the military members, their families and our veterans . Our dedication to assist in their needs through  our Military Heroes programs like the Military Chaplain Scholarships, Veterans Wheelchairs Frontline Faith, Military Order of Purple Heart, and other Veteran programs  demonstrates our deep appreciation for the great work done by the Military  and their families.

The military Heroes programs include the following::

  • Military Chaplain Scholarship program establishes a scholarship program to help fund the education of seminarians preparing to become Catholic chaplains in the U.S. armed forces.

  • Wheelchairs for Veterans benefits veterans  who have been denied mobility and cannot afford a wheelchair on their own.

  • Frontline Faith program distributes compact MP3 players, preloaded with Christian content, to members of our Armed Forces on the Frontlines.

  • Military Order of the Purple Heart funds are used for welfare and rehabilitation of Purple Heart veterans.

  • Veterans programs provides support by participating in veterans events and by visiting veterans centers  and hospitals.
